Every Sunday morning, I usually go to Catholic Church with Edmund and Rica. Do you know who they are? Both of them are RA in Extension center. I received baptism 6 years ago. Actually, I was an atheist. However, 6 years ago, at that time was so hard time to me. When I was walking on the street, I saw a Catholic Church that I used to go with my mom in my childhood. Waking up early in the morning is very hard for me. Especially, Sunday morning is huge hard to wake up. However, the atmosphere of Church makes me comfortable, so I can wake up very fresh. The first day, I was little bit nervous, because everything was new for me. It’s a real American Church, not Korean Church. I had a hard time, because of trouble with the language. But soon, I felt easy, because the ceremony was very similar to Korean Church’s. The only different thing is the holy bread. American Church’s holy bread is bigger than Korean’s. I think everything is bigger than my country, even the holy bread. Edmund taught me some words for me, so I could make a greeting to other people during the ceremony. I can’t remember the whole prayer yet. I hope I can memory it perfectly as soon as possible. If you want to feel peace of mind, join us!

Hi Mira, this is Wataru.
ReplyDeleteEach time new fact is revealed on the blog, isn’t it? Your blog is the most surprising story and it is interesting.
I have not been church, but it would be so nice that you can get up early in the morning. In my case, sometimes I visit Japanese temple by similar reason. I like temple’s quiet mood which makes us relax and healing. A kind of sermon is also held in temples, but I have never joined them, and I prefer to ask myself questions. Anyway, we might need any place or way to make our mind peace, for we always face many bothers. Are there any good lessons from ceremony?
Hi Mira, this is Karen...
ReplyDeleteOh.. really nice to know that you are join that Church, I was there at Easter, was a long time ago.. i know...and i really miss that Church, people there are really friendly, I liked there, but now...I always spent my weekends in my friends house and it is far away from here, so I couldn´t join this Catholic Church anymore.
In Brazil I gone to the Church once or twice a week, but always at night..hehe!..and here I miss the Catholic cerimony, but i go every saturday to Adventist Church, is another Christian Church, but with some diferences.
Actually i think that doesn´t matter wich Church or Temple you go and even doesn´t matter which God you belive...what really matter is have faith, and respect every belief.
I went to a church with my host family a few weeks ago. It was my first time to go to a church. At first, I didn't feel good because I don't believe in God. I felt a little nervous. But everyone is friendly, they all full of passion. Soon, they started praying. I silent my cell phone, and also myself. It's really a special experience. I'm glad I didn't make any trouble.
