Essay

It is my first time to write an essay and I really don't know what to write.Let's talk about the weather. Actually, I don't like the weather here. It changes a lot. There are great differences between the weather here and it in Shanghai.
Although I have lived in Shanghai for more than 10 years, I don't like the weather there at all. It is wet all the time. Sometimes you even can't breathe in summer. People there always feel stressed because of busy works and the weather.
When I arrived at Riverside, I felt really relaxed because of the fresh air and good temperature. It is a really good place for studying and enjoying life, quiet and clean, just like a small village. At first I just felt a little cold in the morning and at midnight, but it is suit for doing exercises. A few days later, the weather got hotter in the afternoon. Luckily, there is a swimming pool in my host family. I spent most of the afternoons in the water. Recently, the weather is getting colder. Especially in the morning. I have to stop doing exercises and lie on the bed. I have never thought it could be such cold a weather before getting here. I hope it would be better.
I don't feel comfortable about the weather. How about you?

  2. Hi~wow~this blog give me more information about riverside...I agree with your opinion about that the weather in riverside is not so good.Maybe the reason I don't like is that I have been Hai Nan island so long, which is so warm in winter,we even don't have to wear the heavey coat there, and you can go to the beach and sea in winter...In riverside, there're a big difference in temperature which means on the morninig ang nignt are so chily ,but is hot on the afternoon ,so basically you have to bring another coat in case the weather changes~But I have to say that you're so good because you can insist doing morning physical training everyday,I can't insist that,I'm kind of lazy about that~~
So,good luck and hope you enjoy your life in US!

1.crazy weather: too hot during the day, cold in the night and dry climate -made my skin just like desert(terrible, i want to cry!).
2.boring place: there were few shops here, i can say the place-reverside is a good place for saving money.
3.there are not beach or coast nearby. i like the sun shining reflect on the sea. i like eating sea food, but it is not popular here.
4.where we want to go is so far; i used to drive my "little green" to every place, i hate walk for 30mins just for a bottle of water. i miss my car!!!!!

  4. Hello Liang! I'm Mira. Are you from Shanghai? Wow, I know Shanghai's weather. 2 years ago, I went to Shanghai to travel. Your writing reminds me when I was there. It was very wet and very hot, but most of restaurant served hot drink, even coke and juice was warm too! Because of that I really wanted some ice every meals, but it was not free. It made me sad. Please tell my why Chinese drinks hot drinks though hot weather someday. Lastly, I agree with you about Riverside's day-night temperature differences. I think it's really weird. Take care

  5. Sorry Mira, I didn't see your comment until now. I have no idea about selling hot drinks in hot weather. I don't know what kind of drinks you are talking about. It depends on what kind of drink and also depends on where they sell it.If you go to someplace rich, they sell hot drinks in every season. They always start selling hot drinks when the weather getting cold. Maybe you don't feel very well because of the wet weather. It makes you feel hot.
